OUR VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Emergency Department (ED) | Waiting Room
To provide support to the staff, patients and visitors in the ED. Greet patients upon arrival in the ED; provide wayfinding assistance to visitors/patients; answer basic questions for visitors/patients; and complete various tasks to support the ED.
Mon-Fri: 9:00 am to Noon & Noon to 3:00 pm.
Sat: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm & 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Sun: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Gift Shop | Retail Sales
To assist the Auxiliary by providing excellent customer service in the Gift Shop; process payments via Point of Sale (POS) system and pin pad payment; tidy shelves and replenish stock.
Mon-Fri: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm & 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Sat : 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Information Desk | Lobby Reception
To greet visitors and patients upon arrival in the front lobby; assist patients and visitors with navigating the hospital for appointments and visitations.
Mon-Thu: 8:00 am to Noon& Noon to 4:00 pm & 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Fri: 8:00 am to Noon & Noon to 4:00 pm
Wayfinding
To greet patients and visitors entering WLMH and escort them to their destination. Provide comfort measures, i.e. offer a chair to sit, obtain a wheelchair for easy transport, or remaining with the person until a friend or relative arrives to accompany them. Gather wheelchairs that are dispersed around the hospital and return them to the Lobby. Wayfinding volunteer greeters compliment the work of both the Information Desk and the Emergency Dept volunteers.

Daisy Café | Food Service
To provide assistance with customer service; process payments via Point of Sale (POS) and pin pad systems; food prep (hot beverages and sandwiches), replenish stock on display, maintain cleanliness of Café.
Mon-Thu: 8:00 to 11:00 am, 11:00 am to 1:30 pm & 1:30 to 4:00 pm & 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Fri: 8:00 am to 11:00 am & 11:00 am to 1:30 pm & 1:30 pm TO 4:00 pm
Sat-Sun: 9:00am to 12:00pm & 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
High School Student Program
The High School Student Volunteer Program is available for people who are at least 14 years of age and are enrolled in High School. Current opportunities available in the Café at this time.
